Epoxy.com Product #441

High Solids Urethane Coating and Sealer Resin - Very Low VOC

DESCRIPTION

Product # 441 High Solids Urethane Coating and Sealer Resin with very low VOC is a two component water-based aliphatic (non-yellowing) polyurethane. Epoxy.com # 441 is free of the health and environmental problems normally found in solvent-based urethanes, while maintaining excellent performance properties. The very low VOCs allows this urethane coating to meet the strict low VOC standards. Epoxy.com # 441 Polyurethane Coating and Sealer
provides a matte finish.

Product #441 water-based urethane coating and sealer has good chemical, stain, and mar
resistance. In addition, it is easy to clean and has excellent color retention
under heavy foot traffic. Epoxy.com # 441 Water-based Urethane is a high performance coating for use
in a variety of seamless floor and wall coating systems. Epoxy.com # 441 Urethane Coating and Sealer
eliminates the strong solvent odor normally associated with many high performance materials. It is ideal for topcoats and finishes
that require high abrasion resistance. Typical application areas are clean rooms, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, stained concrete, wood floors, and
as a seal coat for most Epoxy.com floor and wall coating systems.

ADVANTAGES

Low VOC

Low Odor

Fast Cure

Excellent Adhesion

Excellent Abrasion Resistance

CONSIDERATIONS

Allow material to rest for 15-20 minutes for viscosity adjustment.

Application rate is 250-275 square feet per gallon. Thicker films will show bubbling in the cured film.

Pot life will vary with temperature.

Do not mix more material than can be used in 2 hours.

Use of non-skid additive is recommended for slip resistance.

Larger batches set faster than smaller batches.

Potlife of 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. is based on temperature not more than 77°F with
batch sizes of not more than 1
Quart

COMPOSITION

Epoxy.com # 441 is a polyester resin/aliphatic polyisocyanate (duel component polyurethane)

APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface Preparation is the most critical portion of any successful resinous
flooring system application. All substrates must be properly prepared as
outlined on EPOXY.COM. Please contact the technical service
department for answers to your questions or visit our website at
www.epoxy.com.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Mix only that amount of material that can be used
in a two hour period. In hot weather, plan work for the cooler times of the day.

If using less than full units, proportion the
amounts carefully and mix for 2-3 minutes using a low speed drill, scraping the
bottom and sides of the mixing vessel. DO NOT ADD WATER.

APPLICATION

Viscosity will decrease during the first 15-20 minutes at 77°F
(faster at higher temperatures). DO NOT ADD WATER.

Apply Epoxy.com # 441 polyurethane at a spread
rate of 275-300 square feet per gallon to achieve 2.0-2.5 mils dry using roller,
brush, squeegee or airless sprayer. Thicker
application may result in bubbling in the cured film. Recoat time is
approximately 3-4 hours at 77°F. Keep a wet edge at all times.

Use with adequate ventilation. Read material
safety data sheet before using.
