Epoxy Mortar Adhesive Binder

Lo-Mod Low Viscosity 100% Solids Epoxy

Epoxy Product #10

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Epoxy Mortar Adhesive Binder - Low Viscosity - Product #10
is a 100% solids Lo-Mod Low Viscosity adhesive used as a binder for epoxy mortar
systems in patching and grouting applications, as a seal coat for non-skid
surfaces outside, and as a primer to insure high bond strength for coatings and
patches. Product #10 Low Modulus Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin Adhesive and Binder System is Zero (0) VOC.

ADVANTAGES

Low Modulus, stress relieving

Moisture insensitive (cures on damp or wet surfaces)

Easily Troweled

Withstands movement from thermal change

Meets ASTM C-881 standard specification

Low Viscosity - Excellent wetting properties

Good shock absorption qualities

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface to receive Product #10 Mortar Resin must he clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance,
grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or
acid etching. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately
prior to application.
See Epoxy.com Surface Preparation Guide for more details.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Temperature of Mortar Adhesive Binder Low Viscosity Product
#10 must be 50 degrees F or above at time
of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part
A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill
motor equipped with a mixing paddle.

To prepare Product #10 as a mortar, slowly add 3-5 parts by volume of clean,
dry, well graded sand to one part by volume of mixed epoxy. Continue to mix until
aggregate is thoroughly wetted down.

APPLICATION

Mortar Binder Low Viscosity Product #10 can be applied with a brush, roller or squeegee when
used as a primer or seal coat. For skid resistance, broadcast sand at a rate of 2 lbs. per
square yard. For mortar applications finish surface with trowel. Prime surface to be
patched with neat material.

Use of solvents for thinning Product #10 Low Mod Low Viscosity Adhesive Mortar
will prevent proper cure. New
concrete must he 28 days old prior to application of Product C10. Temperature of substrate
must be above 40 degrees F.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation.
If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side
shields and wear protective rubber gloves.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

All tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels.
Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
